Materials

Bottle
Dropper
Glass slide
Cover slips
Compound microscope

Method

Collect water with algae in a bottle from a nearby pond or a damp marshy place.
Put a drop of water along with algae on the slide with the help of the dropper.
Cover the algae with a cover slip.
Observe the slide under the microscope.
After observing, draw a diagram to show the structure of the algae.
Based on the observation, discuss the characteristics of the algae.
