The first cause
How Grazing Wears a Forest Away
GRASS
The animals first finish the soft grass on the ground.
SHOOTS
Once the grass is gone they eat the tips of the new seedlings.
SEEDS
Fallen fruits and seeds are eaten or crushed under hooves.
FOREST
