Search your community, school and neighbourhood for a person with 6 fingers on one hand, a person with some other physical difference, an animal with five legs, or any other change that appeared suddenly. Collect information on what caused each mutation and on the advantages and disadvantages the change brings, prepare a report and present it in class.
Sit with the eldest member of your family and collect a description of the traits of your ancestors up to four or five generations back. Prepare an account showing the real differences between the traits of those ancestors and of the present generation, and present it in class.
Using the internet, collect pictures of examples of mutation, paste them on chart paper and display them.
