Transformation

Quick Facts

Lesson: 8: Transformation
Topic: Transformation
Domain: Geometry

Translation slides, reflection flips and rotation turns a shape. All three leave it congruent: same shape, same size, only the position and facing change.

Study Tip

Drawing the image is only half the question. A translation needs two numbers, a reflection needs the mirror line, and a rotation needs a centre, an angle and a direction.
