Similar and Congruent Shapes

Quick Facts

Lesson: 3: Similar and Congruent Shapes
Topic: Similar and Congruent Shapes
Domain: Geometry

Congruent is same shape and same size. Similar is same shape, any size. That one word, size, is the whole difference.

Study Tip

Label matching corners with matching letters before you divide anything. Almost every wrong scale factor comes from dividing two sides that do not correspond.
