Introduction to Sets Operations on Sets Venn Diagrams

Quick Facts

Lesson: 11: Sets
Topic: Operations on Sets
Domain: Sets

Union asks OR, intersection asks AND, difference asks and NOT, and complement asks what is outside. Everything else follows from those four questions.

Study Tip

When counting a union, subtract the overlap once, because everyone in both sets was counted twice. Then check that only A, only B, both and neither add up to the whole group.
