Topic: Lightning
Domain: Physics

The easiest path wins

Study Tip

Do not memorise a list of lightning safety rules. Remember one sentence instead: a discharge takes the easiest and shortest path it can find to the ground. Every rule, and the lightning rod itself, is that sentence applied somewhere.
