ObjectiveTo find out whether plants release carbon dioxide gas when they respire.
MaterialsA conical flask, a beaker, a cork with a hole in it, a U-shaped glass tube, and limewater.
MethodPut some germinating gram or peas into a conical flask. Fit the U-shaped glass tube into the flask using the cork. Dip the other end of the glass tube into a beaker containing limewater. After about half an hour, look at the change in the limewater.
