A photo is nothing more than a very large grid of tiny coloured squares. Everything else on this page follows from that.
Presenter notes: Open by holding up a printed photo, or pointing at one on the wall, and asking the class to describe it in words only. Give them fifteen seconds, then stop them. Ask how long it would take to describe every detail. That gap between the one glance and the many sentences is the whole reason this lesson exists, so name it now and come back to it at the end.
