Symmetry Tessellation

Quick Facts

Lesson: 9: Symmetry and Tessellation
Topic: Symmetry
Domain: Geometry

Symmetry is a transformation that leaves a shape looking exactly as it was: a fold that matches, or a turn that fits.

Study Tip

Never judge a line of symmetry by eye. Trace the shape, cut it out and fold it. The parallelogram catches almost everyone who guesses.
