About Learn Yeti

Built for every classroom

An AI-powered learning and teaching platform for classes 1 to 10, made for teachers, students and parents by a team that has spent more than ten years in education.

Where we come from

More than ten years ago, we set out to prove something most schools had been told was impossible: that a small community school could offer the same learning as the most expensive school in Kathmandu.

We spent the decade that followed learning what schools, teachers and students actually need. That meant being in classrooms more than in an office: sitting at the back of lessons, talking with teachers after the bell, listening to school leaders about what helped and what sat unused, and asking students what made them want to come back. Along the way, our work was recognised by Google.

At the start we thought the problem was cost. If good learning tools were affordable, every school could use them. It was not so simple. Schools that could afford good tools were not using them either. Teachers who had them on the shelf still taught from the board and marked by hand. The tools did not fit how a teacher actually runs a class of forty, or how a child actually learns when nobody is watching.

The real problem was usability. That is the reason Learn Yeti exists: to build something a teacher will open on a Monday morning and still be using in March, and something a child will come back to on their own.

Now the era is changing, and using AI well is no longer optional.

What Learn Yeti is

Learn Yeti has everything a school needs to teach and a child needs to learn: lessons, videos, notes, practice, tests and reports, in one place, for classes 1 to 10. The content was built by a team of teachers, subject advisors and a community of educators, drawing on more than ten years of networks in education.

AI is what runs around that content. Every test a child takes on Learn Yeti shows a pattern: which questions they get right, which they get wrong, and where they slip again and again. Learn Yeti studies that pattern and tells the student, and the teacher, what to revise and which topics are weak.

One feature we are proud of is the confidence calculator. A child says how sure they are of an answer, and we compare that with the result. A child who is sure but wrong needs a different kind of help from one who is right but unsure. And the child who knows the answer but never raises a hand finally becomes visible.

No child goes unnoticed on Learn Yeti. We keep watch on each child's learning and nudge them to do a little better every day. Over time that builds confidence, in students and in the teachers who guide them.

Who it is for

Students

learn at their own pace, practise, and see clearly what to work on next.

Teachers

get an assistant that saves time and resources. Tests are marked as soon as they are finished, weak topics are already listed, and you know which students need you first. Fifty exam copies on a Saturday night are no longer the only way to find out who is struggling.

Parents

see reports showing what their child is weak at and what they are confident in. You do not have to wait for exam results to know where things stand.

Schools

get their own learning app. Follow every student's progress and see how far each teacher has covered the syllabus, class by class.

Works on what you already have

Learn Yeti runs in the browser. It works on any PC, on Android phones and tablets, on iPhone and iPad, and on classroom smart boards. There is no special hardware to buy.

Who is behind it

Behind the founders is a team of more than 20 people who work on Learn Yeti every day. Many of them have been doing this work for years, in the same schools and with the same teachers.

We did not appear last year. Learn Yeti grew out of more than a decade in the same industry, and it is here to stay.
